Danish Garden til Fods

As promised two pics of the "finished" Gardes. Basing needs to be done and I need to complete the attached artillery (the crew are the three figures lying behind the line). I have just about finished the gun and it just needs the metals highlighting before it takes its place on the right of the line.

The flags are scanned from the booklet "Danish Armies 1691-1715" by S. A. Sapherson and will do nicely until I can find some more detailed examples (scanning from a fuzy ilustration and then trying to detail some very small pieces is difficult).

About 20 years or so ago, Mark Allen had a series of articles in (I think) "Wargames Illustrated" about the Danish Army in both the WSS and GNW.

They had nice illustrations for a number of the Danish flags.

Thanks for that Jeff. I'm currently working through WI scanning all the articles that appealand recycling the mags, so I'm sure I'll come across them soon (upto #48 at the moment).

I think your Danish flags look good. It goes without saying that your Danish Foot Guards do too. Very nice work!

They look great! Excellent job.

The awesome thing about having painted Danes is that if you ever come across the pond or I get over to the UK; with the Swedes I'm working on we could have a nice little fight over Castle Holstein.

Could be loads of fun.
