Almost two hundred years ago today the British army achieved victory in their most celebrated battle. Whatever your views on the causes for that victory no one can doubt it wouldn't have been achieved if the men in red hadn't been there.
Surely today must be one of the top candidates for a national holiday, alongside Trafalgar Day?
