Trying to keep in tune with the history all of the six American Companies were rated as inexperienced but the command and machine gun companies as regular. The American troops in the war were eager and proved to be tough fighters but lacked experience and the battlefield skills of the Allies.
In contrast Mark had three companies of regulars, one elite Sturmtruppen with support from a heavy machine gun and a mortar.
The game was over very quickly. Pinned down by the mortar and machine gun half of the Americans could take little part in the action. The Germans were able to filter around the flank of the American line and roll up the entire battalion.
All the American figures are from the excellent range marketed by Brigade Games. The Germans from Renegade I believe.
Rules used were a distillation of Bolt Action and are a work in progress.
